Homestay in Abbotsford, Canada
Hello!
We have just moved into a large new townhouse and have a spare room on the lower floor. All floors are above ground. Our home is bright and sunny with no dark basement. The home is 2400 square feet, so plenty of space for everyone.
We have previously provided care to adults with disabilities, but are looking into something that gives us more free time.
Dave has spent a year traveling around the world and would love to hear your stories! We are all interested in learning about other places and cultures, and live in a very multicultural townhouse complex. In our complex we have families from all over including India, Syria and Nigeria!
Carissa is a student and has attended UFV for several years.
Our two kids are fun, wonderful, and high energy. There are three floors in the house, so lots of space for everyone to get some peace and quiet. There is a large patio outside the spare room which is hardly used right now. A guest would have close to private use of this patio.
It is critical that a guest pose no safety concerns to the house or the children. A criminal record check would be requested. Overnight guests would need to be known to the host family, for comfort and safety purposes. We don't allow cigarettes, but vaping or marijuana smoking outside is acceptable. The upper level of the home is for family only, as it only contains bedrooms. However, the main floor and lower floor are all shared.
